Data Source and Methodology
The visualizations are based on immunization schedule data collected by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO maintains country-reported vaccination schedule information, allowing comparisons of vaccine recommendations across national immunization programs.
For this analysis, a childhood vaccine is defined as any vaccine dose scheduled to be administered at 18 years of age or younger. Vaccine schedules were analyzed by disease, recommended age of administration, and country.
Vaccinations intended only for special populations — including travelers and risk groups — were excluded to focus on routine childhood immunization schedules recommended for the general population.
Because countries may structure vaccine programs differently, these comparisons should be interpreted as an overview of scheduled childhood immunization recommendations rather than a measure of vaccine availability, vaccine uptake, or population vaccination rates.
